Extra Curricular Activities

At Wilkabaa School, we offer a range of extra-curricular activities to enhance the learning and enjoyment of students. Some of these include:

Study Tours & Excursions

Pupils in our school are given the opportunity to visit different places for learning. In previous years, we were able to visit the Arusha Museum, water falls in the surrounding areas, Lake Duluti, Snake Park at Meserani Arusha, Tarangire National Park, Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro crater, Serengeti National Park and Arusha National Park. We hope to continue developing programmes for tours in the future.

Clubs

Within the school, many clubs are run to help the children gain skills in different fields. Some of these include scouts, environmental clubs, debating clubs, drawing and designing club, cultural music, dance and drama club and the Christian organization.

We also have a group of teachers providing counselling to the pupils on issues pertaining to religion, morals, hygiene, and the benefits of education.

Student Government

Wilkabaa School does its best to promote and provide the pupils with leadership opportunities. We have a living and a working students government which is comprised of the head girl or boy and one prefect from each class. These student leaders help the teachers on duty in their daily activities with tasks such as supervising their fellow students, picking up litter, cleaning the compound and leading the morning and evening assemblies.

Graduations

Graduations are our way of honoring our out-going candidates at the end of the year. They are always a day of fun involving music, drama, poems, cultural dance, songs, awarding certificates, eating and drinking and general celebration. On this day, guests are invited from all over the region and country, including parents and guardians, and everyone joins the students in the celebration of their achievement. This year, we hope that you can come and share the joy with us!
